I am an experienced illustrator with an open-minded and forward-thinking approach to image-making. I have provided artwork to many international clients in publishing, press, design and marketing.

My illustrations have complemented the writing of Iain Banks, Irvine Welsh, Gil Scott Heron, Peter Carey & Muriel Spark- amongst others. Many years of experience mean that I can absorb a text and thoughtfully translate it into imagery for an effective book cover, editorial feature or brand story.

I have also contributed weekly illustrations for national newspapers- in collaboration with regular columnists and with my own satirical series. I can, therefore, make a creative contribution to projects in many forms and media- increasingly, I'm exploring the creative possibilities of motion imagery on screen.

I bring this experience and expertise to Art College education and have, for several years, overseen and delivered programmes in Communication Design (at degree & diploma levels). I'm happy teaching in the studio or lecture theatre (on practical & contextual topics), as well as providing the wider requirements of higher education (assessment, feedback & pastoral care).
